Playing Left-Handed the Ol’ Fashioned Way
Reddit poster, tsarkees, has posted information stating that Nintendo’s upcoming franchise reboot, Kid Icarus: Uprising, will incorporate a left-handed mode that does not require the Circle Pad Pro accessory.
Dismayed at the possibility of having to purchase the add-on, which hasn’t received a great deal of positive reception thus far, tsarkees claims to have sent an email to Nintendo of America, asking if the game is playable without it.
I e-mailed customer service, because I was dismayed at having to buy the ugly, unwieldy Circle Pad Pro. The response from Nintendo of America Customer Service Associate Shawn Ford, dated Feb. 1, 2012:
Aside from the Circle Pad Pro accessory, I can confirm that the press release on the game stated “Left-handed play is also possible without the Circle Pad Pro accessory, by using the ABXY Buttons to control Pit’s movement.” So hopefully you’ll enjoy the game fully!
