Konami’s fondly-remembered Simpsons arcade game is finally making its way into our homes. The classic 4-player arcade brawler is available now on the Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points, and is coming February 7 to the PlayStation Network for USD $9.99.
The game follows the adventures of America’s favorite dysfunctional animated family as they try to rescue Maggie from Mr. Burns and Smithers. The game will offer several modes of play including online and offline co-op multiplayer, a “Quarters mode” to simulate the arcade experience and provide more challenge, Free Play with infinite continues, and a Survival Mode which only offers the player one life.
The download will also include the Japanese version of the game (similar to Konami’s earlier release of their X-Men arcade game) as well as a gallery of promotional material for the game. Mmm…promos.
