I’m the Real Batman! No, I’m the Real Batman!
As detailed on Gamespy, Batman fans are in for a bit of a change when they pick up their copy of Arkham City on 18 October. There will be an appearance from the one and only Bane, but not in the hostile kind of circumstances you might imagine. It’s actually the complete opposite. Bane, the character famous for breaking Batman’s back, will be teaming up with the Dark Knight in a number of side-missions as an AI character.
But that’s not all. A retailer in New Zealand has recently slipped up and revealed that you will also be given several options as to which Batman you play as.
- L-R: Batman Beyond, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman Earth One, 1970s Batman, Batman The Animated Series, and Rocksteady’s Batman.
The various above Batman styles are a pre-order bonus, and depend on which retailer you pre-purchase your copy from; the original Rocksteady style will be universal, but the others may be exclusive. However, no specifics have been released yet to tell us which is which. We can only hope that no matter which style you end up with on release day, the others will be along soon after in the form of DLC.
