It Was Nice Knowing You
The infernal machine that is World of Warcraft trundles forth. Proving that after seven years, the ageing MMO has life in it still, Blizzard have announced a new free-to-play ‘Starter Edition’ of the game which will allow players to saunter about Azeroth for nothing until they reach level 20, at which point, the full game must be purchased and a subscription begun.
Content from the game’s two most recent expansions, Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm, is not included, but players will be able to choose the two races introduced in The Burning Crusade, the Blood Elves and the Draenei. If you played WoW many moons ago but gave up, reach the level cap in the free-to-play edition and you’ll get The Burning Crusade for free.
